We first had Gerard tutor our son for a short time to prepare for 10 plus entrance and it was very successful as he gained a scholarship. Our son has been struggling with GCSE maths and has been lacking confidence and we suggested getting a tutor and he asked for Gerard again. In 2 months, my son's confidence is so much higher and he says he understands what he does in school lessons much more clearly thanks to Gerard. Hopefully this understanding and confidence will carry on into the exams this summer. Gerard was a first rate tutor via Zoom for our daughter throughout the later part of year 11. He was organised, explained concepts clearly and was very helpful in providing question practice. His lessons instilled a confidence in our daughter which she never gained from lessons at school. She achieved an A, and this was largely down to the work Gerard did with her. He was very helpful in organising extra lessons as exam season approached. I cannot recommend his tutoring service highly enough and only wish we had found him earlier.

I recommend Juliet and Richard highly for their tutoring service. They worked with my son on 11+ exams through online lessons. Their lessons were effective, methodical and thorough. They set homework appropriately and reviewed his progress with me regularly. They were able to adapt the syllabus to his level and used different methods of teaching to impart their knowledge. The matched tutors for Sociology and Geography A level were outstanding. I have consistently used Uber Tutors for my child since year 5, elevating their potential at different stages of their State and Comprehensive schooling. Uber Tutors coached my child through their dyslexia diagnosis, immediately understanding their needs and instilling confidence. They have now finished A levels top of their class and top three in their year for their chosen subjects, including A*s in Sociology and Geography. In total 3 x A* and 1 x A. Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 level(when he was at year 10) to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays (and clearly many do). However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently (dare I say enthusiastically?) but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum.
